Educate

We believe climbing teaches confidence and problem-solving. Through free and subsidized programs, WyoClimbers is working to remove financial and technical barriers so kids in Fremont County can climb, grow, and connect with the land around them.

  • After school programming

Thanks to a grant from the LOR Foundation, 45 students participated in outdoor climbing at Sinks Canyon in 2023/2024. This program is designed to connect Lander youth with our public lands and foster a lifelong appreciation for climbing.

  • Local summer camps

We offer two 3-day introductory climbing camps at Elemental Performance + Fitness. Students enjoy two outdoor climbing days with Wind River Climbing Guides. Costs are subsidized for all 30 participants, making the experience accessible to everyone.

  • Jim Ratz Climb the Grand Memorial Scholarship

In partnership with Jackson Hole Mountain Guides, this 4-day, 3-night Grand Teton expedition welcomes students with no prior experience. Over the past 23 years, more than 50 Fremont County students have reached the summit through this life-changing program.

  • Tribal family climbing clinics

These free climbing clinics serve up to 15 Native families and youth, providing hands-on instruction with Wind River Climbing Guides and introducing participants to the joys of outdoor climbing, held during the International Climbers’ Festival.
