Climb the Grand- reached out to Charlie, and Mei. Charlie spoke with Ellen who was running it in 2004 and helped put on a dinner associated with the event before it was called a memorial. It began in 2002 (a couple years before his death in 2005) in collaboration with Jackson Hole Mountain Guides of which Jim co-owned with 3 other NOLS instructors as a way to offer students in Fremont County the opportunity to experience the mountains that greatly impacted his life. During the 20+ years of partnership, JHMG has offered us heavily reduced rates to make this accessible for kids who may not otherwise get to experience this opportunity. Opening it up to seniors for this next year I think would be in our best interest to increase the number of applicants.
Youth Programs- Youth summer camps in partnership with Elemental and clinics during ICF through WRCG. Offering students the opportunity and exposure to climbing by working with local businesses. Currently talking with LOR about a comprehensive grant for after school programs, as well as, the education committee to what would be the most advantageous offerings as an organization.
